Silvestre Founded by Iván Martínez in 2018, SILVESTRE is a publishing project based in Mexico City that focuses on the design and production of publications, which aim is to experiment with printing materials and techniques through collaborations with artists, designers, and writers interested in exploring language and speculation.

Iván Martínez is an artist and book designer based in Mexico City. He studied graphic design at the UAM Xochimilco in Mexico City and attained a Masters in Typography at ArtEZ / Werkplaats Typografie, (Arnhem, The Netherlands, 2013–2015) and his postgraduate studies at the Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht, The Netherlands, 2016–2017). His current work focuses on the development of fictitious narratives and speculative publications on the aesthetics of rumor and its mechanisms of propagation and modification. He is the author and designer of the publications, Felipe Zitecias, Megaphone News, The Sunken School, and Unusual Persecutions. Martinez has collaborated with several artists and institutions in Mexico and the Netherlands, in 2017 he designed the catalog "Carlos Amorales/Life in the Folds" for the Mexican Pavilion in the 57th Venice Biennale and, from 2017 to 2019, he created the corporate identity of the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, Switzerland.
